-The only way to improve on your writing skills is to keep writing, and to read. When you read, make sure your creative mind is rolling so you when you read something you like, your mind takes a mental note of the way the author executed it. This way, you learn different writing skills that you can mimic and customize to your liking.

Tip #1
- If you are writing a traditional novel and you are using Microsoft Word, then chances are you are curious how many "Novel" pages are inside of a "Document" Page. Very easy, and its a great way to set up you document.

Look at the "Tabs" and click on "Page Layout." Then click on the "Size" button which will bring down a drop menu. Look for "A5" and click on it. This will change your document. It will divide your pages and place on average, 250 words on each page. This is a normal word count for most novels.

Note: By no means is this what publishers use; they use their own method, but if you would like something quick, then this is the way to go.
